Pabiaga Spanish Water Dogs
Our way of life
Spanish Water Dogs are not just a breed to us—they’re at the heart of everything we do.
We don’t see ourselves as a business, but as a family devoted to this wonderful breed. Having shared our lives with Spanish Water Dogs, we combine our passion for the outdoors, nature, and countryside living to provide our dogs and their puppies the best life we can offer.

We’re incredibly proud that some of our puppies have gone on to make a real difference in the world. A number now work as therapy dogs, offering comfort to the anxious and elderly, most of our puppies, however, go to loving family homes as companions and we always take care to ensure that every home is a good match, with the right environment and commitment.

Once the puppies are old enough, they begin spending their days in a purpose-built kennel with free access to the outdoors. While outside, they have the opportunity to safely see and socialise with our other dogs under supervision. We introduce them to a range of play toys and gradually expose them to the everyday sights and sounds of life on our grounds, everything from the lawn mower, tractors and live stock in the local fields, to the whistle we use for our dogs, and even our chickens.

From around seven weeks old, the puppies start going on little adventures to the fields and woodlands, where they experience open spaces and build confidence. As a result, our puppies grow up to be outgoing and well-adjusted. Of course, like people, each one has their own personality some are naturally bolder, while others are more laid-back.

Our mums
We do not rehome our retired bitches. Once their breeding days are behind them, they remain an important part of our family, just as they always have been. These girls have given us so much, and we believe they deserve nothing less than a life of comfort, love, and companionship in return. As they grow older, they continue to live in our family home, enjoying peaceful days and familiar routines. In winter, you’ll often find them stretched out in front of the fire, dozing contentedly. They’ve earned their place by our side, and we feel privileged to give them the relaxed, happy life they so richly deserve.

We are always here for our puppy owners, offering lifelong support and guidance. We love staying in touch and are just a phone call or Facebook message away anytime you need us.
